1. Add 5 to 6 tablespoons of medium-coarse filter grind coffee to the bottom of the French press. Adjust the dose to your preferred strength.

2. Pour some hot water (95 °C / 203 °F) in gentle circles to about half the press. Wait ~40 seconds.
