At Malté, we have developed a range of natural personal hygiene products based on microbrewery spent grains. Following the sharp increase in the number of microbreweries in Quebec, the quantities of spent grain are now too large. We want to reduce the environmental impacts linked to spent grain in addition to helping microbreweries limit the costs it generates.

Malté was born from a shared passion for entrepreneurship between two friends Philippe Rioux and Olivier Breault-Tourigny, founders of the company. Our products are made in Quebec and are all created with the aim of having a positive impact on the environment.

The idea comes from an old grandmother's trick which consisted of pouring a beer into your hair. Everything could bring shine, volume in addition to nourishing the hair. Once we discovered spent grain, the idea took off, because we wanted to create a company with eco-responsible values.
