It has two compartments that screw together. The bottom compartment holds cold water, and the filter is inserted into the filter, into which the coffee is added. The operating principle is simple: you place the Italian coffee maker on the stove burner or on a heat source. The water in the lower reservoir heats up.

Once the pressure is reached, the water is forced through the ground coffee and fills the upper receptacle. For best results, the grind should not be too fine and the heat should be low.
