At Malté, we have developed a line of natural body hygiene products made from microbrewery grains. Due to the strong increase in the number of microbreweries in Quebec, the quantities of spent grains are now too important. We want to reduce the environmental impact of spent grains and help microbreweries limit their costs.

Malté was born from a common passion for entrepreneurship between two friends, Philippe Rioux and Olivier Breault-Tourigny, founders of the company. Our products are made in Quebec and are all created with the goal of having a positive impact on the environment.

The idea comes from an old grandmother's trick that consisted of pouring a beer in your hair. This would bring shine, volume and nourishment to the hair. Once the discovery of the draff, the idea took off, because we wanted to create a company with eco-responsible values.
